(Even though is more emphatic than although)
Although he is strong, he can’t lift the weight.
In spite of / Despite + noun
In spite of / Despite his strength, he can’t lift the weight.
In spite of / Despite + ing form
In spite of / Despite being strong, he can’t lift the weight.
In spite of / Despite the fact that + clause
In spite of / Despite the fact that he is strong, he can’t lift the weight.
Howerver / Nevertheless
(We always use a comma after however or nevertheless)
He is strong. Howerver / Nevertheless, he can’t lift the weight.
